Push America Camp.

Today was the Start of the Push America challenge involving the Wounded Warrior Project as well. Push American volunteers raise money for wounded warriors and other disabled athletes to come out and work with us at Challenge Aspen, making it a once in a lifetime opportunity! Such a worthy Cause.

Aspen Highlands House Sitting

So a family friend has asked me to house sit his rather large home up on the Aspen Highlands mountain. Ski-in Ski-out property right up on the mountain with huge hot-tub and everything. Life is good!

X Games Aspen

ESPN brings the XGames to Buttermilk Aspen every year but is the first time id been able to see all of the evenst. And wow they were incredible. from Halfpipe to Big Air to Slopestyle I saw it all due to some friends living across the street from it. My highlight has to be the 14 year old kid from Japan placing 2nd behind Shaun White in the Halfpipe final! He is 14!!

I am pretty sure when working with a Challenge Aspen participant in this weather that i got some form of frostbite/frostnip and my toes, fingers and face really suffered. Oh and this equates to around -20'C!

Glenwood Natural Hot Springs

After 2 months of skiing and water conservation work i found a way to truly relax and that is down valley at a town called Glenwood Springs, named after its famous Natural Hot-springs, these huge pools of sulphur rich water are around 104'F and are the size of swimming pools!

 

2013.

Spent New Years Eve welcoming in the new year as it should be done. American Football. Good friends. Good Food. and most importantly a Hot-tub surrounded by beer and champagne cooling in the snow! I also got myself some new Oakley goggles as a New Year present because i'm such a generous guy.
